Red Bull Rampage Turns 25: The Transition Riders We're Cheering For (and the Bottlerockets They're Bringing)
25 years of Rampage. Four Transition Bikes riders. Four wild custom Bottlerockets. Here's who to watch October 8–10 — and why we're especially cheering for Hannah B.
Red Bull Rampage Turns 25 — And It's Going Home
Twenty-five years ago, in 2001, a handful of riders dropped into the desert outside Virgin, Utah, and freeride changed forever. This year, Red Bull Rampage celebrates 25 years since that first event (its 20th edition) by going back to where it all started — the original 2001–2004 venue, with the start gate set even higher for a 678-foot vertical drop, the biggest in Rampage history.
- Women's competition: Thursday, October 8, 2026
- Men's competition: Saturday, October 10, 2026
- Where to watch: Live on Red Bull TV and Red Bull Bike YouTube
The women's field is only in its third year at Rampage, and it's already must-watch. Twelve of the world's best will drop in — and the battle at the top is personal.
Four Transition Bikes Riders in the Field
We're a Transition shop, so this one's close to our hearts. Four Transition athletes are confirmed for Rampage 2026:
Hannah Bergemann (Hannah B) — Women's field
Pre-qualified after finishing 2nd in 2025, just 0.16 points behind two-time champ Robin Goomes. Hannah is one of our absolute favorites — not just for how she rides, but for what she does for women in freeride. She's a 3x Red Bull Formation athlete, the founder and host of Hangtime (a women's freeride event in Bellingham, WA), a prolific trail builder, and she works on Transition's marketing team when she's not sending it. If anyone is going to spoil the three-peat, it's Hannah.
Talus Turk — Men's field
Bellingham native, pre-qualified, and riding for Transition. Talus has been a Rampage standout with his creative, big-mountain style.
Jaxson Riddle — Men's field
Transition factory freerider and Red Bull athlete with a motocross-inflected style. He just built a world-first 100-foot hand-sculpted dirt-to-dirt jump ahead of Rampage. Expect fireworks.
Johny Salido — Men's field
The comeback story of 2026. Johny was invited to Rampage back in 2019, built a top-to-bottom line and ticked everything off in practice — then crashed the evening before finals and never got to drop in. Seven years later, after traveling the world, hitting events everywhere, and building his own Freeride Fiesta in his home country of Mexico, he's finally back. He'll be riding a custom Bottlerocket, and we can't wait to see what he does with a second chance.
The Bottlerockets They Previewed on Instagram
Transition reintroduced the legendary Bottlerocket last fall as a dedicated freeride weapon — dual 27.5", alloy, 180–200mm of adjustable travel — and the Rampage builds are wild. The team previewed custom Bottlerockets on Instagram this week:
- Hannah's Rampage Bottlerocket — painted by her sister! White frame with pink-to-purple gradient lettering, iridescent blue-purple rear triangle, light-blue RockShox Boxxer with flame graphics, and a pink stem with a "LOYAL TO THE SOIL" top cap. Her third Rampage bike, shot on a red-rock ledge in the desert. (Instagram preview)
- Talus Turk's "Fox Glove Edition" — glossy brown with hand-painted pink foxglove flowers, #6 plate, Marzocchi Bomber 58 fork. A tribute to his Bellingham roots. (Instagram preview)
- Jaxson Riddle's red Bottlerocket — metallic red with #84 plate, Red Bull and Troy Lee Designs graphics, and fork legs wrapped in tiny family photos with handwritten dates. (Instagram preview)
- Johny Salido's custom Bottlerocket — built for his long-awaited Rampage return. Keep an eye on his channels as the event gets closer for the full reveal. (Instagram preview)

From Rampage to Brown County: 10 Years of Campside Sessions
Watching the best women in the world push freeride forward hits different for us this fall — we just celebrated the 10th anniversary of Campside Sessions, our women's mountain bike camp, September 18–20 at Brown County State Park. Ten years of confidence-building, skills progression, and community with an all-women coaching crew. Hannah B's work — Hangtime, trail building, showing the next generation what's possible — is exactly the spirit Campside Sessions was built on.
