Frequently Asked Questions
I've never ridden a mountain bike (or I'm brand new). Can I still come?
Abso-freakin-lutely!
Campside Sessions welcomes women of every skill level—from first-time mountain bikers to experienced riders.
When you register, you'll complete a rider questionnaire that helps us place you in a coaching group based on your experience, comfort level, and goals.
One of our favorite parts of camp is watching women grow year after year. We've had riders begin in our beginner groups and, just a few years later, move into our advanced groups with confidence. Seeing that progression is exactly why we love what we do!
I need a mountain bike. Can I rent one?
Absolutely!
We've partnered with Brown County Bikes to offer discounted weekend rental bikes exclusively for camp participants.
Rental bikes are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we highly recommend reserving yours as soon as possible.
📞 812-200-1115
Do I have to camp with everyone?
Not at all!
Primitive camping is included with your registration, and we'd love to have you join us—it really adds to the community experience.
That said, you're welcome to stay wherever you're most comfortable.
Some options include:
- Cabins inside Brown County State Park (when available)
- Local hotels and vacation rentals
You can also explore additional lodging options through the Brown County Visitor Center.

I'm coming with friends. Will we be in the same coaching group?
Maybe...maybe not!
Although you may ride together at home, you may have different riding styles, confidence levels, or skills that would benefit from different coaching groups.
Our goal is to provide every participant with the best possible learning experience.
Our coaching staff is professionally certified through B****ICP, and we've coached and guided hundreds of riders since 2014. We carefully review every registration and place riders where we believe they'll learn, progress, and gain the most confidence.
Trust the process—we promise there's a method behind our group placements!
If we determine during camp that another group would better fit your needs, we'll always discuss it with you before making any changes.
I have dietary restrictions. Can you accommodate me?
We can accommodate many common dietary needs, including:
- Vegetarian
- Gluten-free
If you have severe food allergies or more specialized dietary restrictions, we recommend bringing your own meals.
Because many of our camps are held in remote locations, our catering options can be limited, and we may not be able to accommodate every request.
If you're purchasing the meal plan and have dietary restrictions, please register at least 30 days before camp so we have time to coordinate with our caterer.
If you have questions, don't hesitate to reach out before registering.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
We understand that life happens!
If you're unable to attend, you have a couple of options:
- 60+ days before camp: Receive a full refund.
- Less than 60 days before camp: Refunds are not available due to permits, insurance, coaching staff, catering, and other event expenses that have already been committed.
If you need to cancel, we're happy to transfer your registration to:
- A future Campside Sessions camp (within one year), or
- A private coaching session with Kate or Danielle (to be used within one year).
We'll always do our best to help you find an option that works.
