Brown County Bikes Backroads Studio Bike Tour
Ride down scenic back roads of Brown County Indiana, wind through woods decked out in their finest fall colors, and discover art on the 24th annual Back Roads of Brown County Studio Tour. Come and see live artist studios in Brown County, Nashville, Indiana. Working artists will welcome visitors throughout the month of October. Juried artisans, a true representation of the arts in Brown County, will share a special glimpse into the lives of working artists and craftsmen. Don’t miss the T.C. Steele State Historic Site while you’re here. The Back Roads of Brown County Studio Tour is an event designed to showcase the arts and crafts created in the present-day “Art Colony of the Midwest.” Watch artwork take shape before your eyes, with artists and craftsmen demonstrating daily. Talk with artists and explore the spaces that inspire them. At some studios, you might even be able to take part in the creation in prepared activities. Educational and designed to broaden public understanding of the arts, the tour is an art celebration for the whole family. This is a unique opportunity to meet artists doing what they love and to purchase artwork directly from those who made it. Collectors will relish the selection of new work made available especially for this event. All studios are open Wednesday – Saturday 10:30am – 5:30pm daily in October. Many studios are open Sunday 10:30 am – 5:30 pm. Check the artist listing for hours for each studio. Most studios take credit card payments, but some do not, often because of limited internet service in backroads art studios. So bring your checkbook or some extra cash along, just in case!

Join us for an awesome weekend of learning new mountain bike skills, riding the epic trail system in Brown County State Park and SO much fun with bad ass women! You will be instructed by professional coaches and meet other amazing women to continue riding with. Your primitive on site camping is included, see you on the trails! Includes your professionally guided skills coaching from the top certified trained coaches for skills and riding, primitive camping on site, swag bag, giveaways, and an amazing freakin' weekend! Contact Us Still deciding if this weekend is right for you? Watch the video below! FAQ: I've never ridden a mountain bike or I'm pretty new, can I come? Absofreakinlutely! We invite ALL levels of riders to come and participate. When you sign up we have you fill out a questionnaire to place you in a group based on your skill level. We have had women start out in the beginner groups and now coming into year 3 we have seen them advance to the higher groups, which is super exciting! If I need a bike can I rent one? Yes! See above we're working with none other than the amazing Brown County Bikes! Do I have to camp with everyone? No you do not, you can stay wherever you like! We always give that option for people who want to camp on site with us but we are happy to give you other recommendations on places to stay - sometimes there are cabins or rooms on site as well! Guess what you can even stay in the same building as the bike shop - Brown County Bikes, check out Brown County Barn Burner. Contact them for availability because they've blocked rooms for our group! I'm coming with my friends will I be in the same group as them? Maybe, maybe not. While you ride with your friends all the time at home you might be best suited to be in a different group as them for our camp. It is important for us to give you the best tools and skills you need to be successful to continue riding more confidently and comfortably. Our coaches and staff are professionally trained through PMBIA or ICP and we have done this for years with in our own businesses and for over 3 years with Campside Sessions. There are times once you are in your group we may move you but we will always discuss this with you first. I have a strict diet can you accommodate me? We can cover vegetarian, gluten free. If you have sever allergies or other dietary restrictions we due recommend bringing your own food. While we wish we could accommodate every person's request many times we are in remote locations for our camps and the caterers or food options are very limited. What is the refund policy? If you have to cancel first you can always transfer your ticket to another camp within that calendar year. 30 days out full refund after that we do not offer refunds due to paying for permits, insurance, coaches, meals, etc.

Youth Mountain Bike Summer Clinic Are you wanting to get your child started mountain biking? Or wanting your child to learn how to ride the trails more safely and efficiently? Join us for the youth mountain bike clinic in Brown County Indiana. With some of the best mountain bike trails in the Midwest there's plenty of reasons to get your kids out on the trails! A great way for your children to learn how to ride more safely is to participate in a clinic so they can learn skills to keep them riding more efficiently, increase their confidence on their bike and have more fun with their family and friends! Location: Brown County State Park Nashville, Indiana When: July 25-26th Saturday-Sunday Time: 9am-12pm Duration: 3 hours each day Ages: 6-12 Cost: $150.00 *Please select pick up at store for shipping so you don't pay a shipping fee! *$20 of your entry fee will go directly to the Brown County Community Bike Fest (free event) taking place this August in Brown County! Required: Child must have their own bike and helmet Water, or electrolytes Snacks A great attitude! Meet your coaches Danielle and Kate Nolan! Kate has been riding bikes her whole life and began coaching in 2015 through DNK Presents. She is the head coach and started the NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association) league here in Brown County. Danielle and Kate both carry their Instructor's Association certification and Wilderness First Aid and CPR. They love to shred and get others, especially kids excited about the sport!
